PART 3

Since 1886 ,the first car came out ,Cars play the main form in America.Cars bring in people's convenient, but also bring our survival environment huge pressure.when car burn coal and gasoline will create harmful emissions called exhaust.
Automobile exhaust containing 150-200 different compounds, one of the biggest person harm is carbon monoxide,Exhaust_hello_kitty.jpg hydrocarbons, nitric oxide, lead compounds and carbon particles.Carbon dioxide is destructive to the environment.
In natural conditions, the atmosphere contains carbon dioxide, but this is a kind of natural balance, it won't cause harm.
But the automobile exhaust increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the excess of gas content of carbon dioxide, the atmospheric environment will change the earth, global warming.
People often to say, is mainly the ozone layer of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere caused by excessive.A car from harmful gases than a year 3 times its own weight, and cars in the earth's resources consumed. Motor vehicle fuel consumption become heartless phagocytosis of petroleum resources bottomless pit. At present, the gasoline automobile use petrol consumption accounted for about 1/3.at the same time,Exhaust will seriously affect human health.
There is a phenomenon called photochemical smog,

In 1943, during the Los Angeles, California, USA, 2.5 million cars burn off every 11 tons of petrol. After combustion gas produced in the sun ultraviolet hydrocarbon radial illuminate could, shallow blue smoke, make the most of people with envy, headaches. Later, people say that pollution for photochemical smoke. In 1955 and 1970 Los Angeles twice and chemical smoke events, the former is more than 400 for facial poisoning, respiratory failure and death.
the main harm of private transportation effect the climate and weather, such as it will cause atmospheric precaption increase, reduce amount of solar radiation to the ground.atmospheric temperature increase. etc.
today ,there are some solution ways ,such as find some new resources to instead of ,such as alcohol, electric ,solar energy,

For the average, car-owning American, driving is in the top two daily pollution-causing activities. (Electricity use is the other big one, and frequent flights are also an area to watch.) On the bright side, the vehicle you choose and the way you drive it presare the greatest opportunities you have as a driver to trim your global warming emissions.Hybrid-car.jpgweb_09.jpg
Cars don't run on gas alone,at least not all of them. Ironically, sometimes looking ahead means looking backward. Ford's Model Ts were designed to run on either gas or ethanol, an alternative fuel made from grains and from plant or animal waste.
There are many potential benefits to biofuels such as ethanol, which is currently made mostly from corn. For one, they can reduce dependence on foreign oil: one consortium of growers, the Agricultural Working Group, has called on farmers to meet 25 percent of America's energy needs by 2025. Today, nearly every car can run on E10, gasoline blended with 10 percent ethanol. About one in forty cars can run on E85, a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline.
Now, ethanol wasn't developed to solve global warming, and greenhouse emissions savings from biofuels can vary substantially , But some biofuels can help reduce emissions that contribute to global warming. Farmers and refiners are continuing to work on new approaches and processes that can produce low-carbon fuels that yield much greater global warming benefits over time. Consumers should stay tuned.
We don't need to be stuck with "Model T" gas mileage. In fact, no matter what size or type of vehicle you need, there's always a greener -- cleaner and more fuel-efficient -- choice. Cars with better gas mileage provide a triple benefit: they protect the climate, they cut America's oil dependency and they save money at the pump.
Choosing your car wisely is one of the most powerful choices you can make.

Summary and Evaluation of Sources:

Private transportation industry petrol engines comprise of a combination of gases including the hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and oxides of nitrogen. These gases present in the combustion engine blend with air to produce power to run the car. Some of the mixture is used for power production and the rest is expelled from the combustion engine. The expelled gases cause car pollution. To a certain degree, this emission is acceptable but higher level of pollution depletes the ozone layer and causes harm to the entire ecosystem. This needs to be controlled. Currently, some cars manufacturers are working to produce fuel efficient engines to reduce the amount of pollution. Some leading countries in the auto industry are also working on green cars and electric cars.

The data are shown that the amount of automobile has already over 600 million around the world until 2000 years.
There are 116 people own cars in per thousand people on the average. It continue increase 30 million of every year.
Researcher estimate that will reach to more 1 billion transportation until 2010 years. Thereby, the privation transportation
occupies a huge proportion to cause greenhouse effect and air pollution, only inferior to.
When privation transportation born the coal and gasoline, it will produce some harmful gases and become the atmosphere
pollution source.
The main harm of private transportation effect the climate and weather. First is reduce the amount of solar radiation to the ground.
.if keep continue, the plant will be unable to survive.Second one is atmospheric precipitation increase. The third is acid rain.acid
rain will destroy large stretch of forest and crop. The last one is the atmosphere temperature increase to cause global warming.

Today, human begin to alert seriousness of the pollution of the environment. There are some different wise governance in different country.
In America, because the large fuel consumption, the scientist have tried use clean energy instead of traditional gasoline, such as use automobile fuel from corn ethanol, it will help reduce gasoline .
In Japan, vigorously promote the electric low pollution car,the electric car is technically for driving distance to reach 2000 kilometers.
In Europe, government reduce the taxes for lower auto emissions drivers.

Summary and Evaluation of Sources

Transportation is the largest sources of GHGs in 2006 were passenger cars and light duty trucks, which include sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks, and minivans. Together with motorcycles, these light-duty vehicles made up about 63% of transportation GHG emissions. The next largest sources were freight trucks and commercial aircraft , along with other non-road sources (which combined, totaled about . These figures include direct emissions from fossil fuel combustion, as well as HFC emissions from mobile air conditioners and refrigerated transport allocated to these vehicle types.
It is important to note that fuel consumed in international travel by aircraft and marine sources is not counted in national greenhouse gas inventories. However, international trade has been growing rapidly, thus increasing the role of transportation as a source of global emissions.

PART 1

Transportation plays the main form of transportation in America. Although cars offer fast reliable transportation,it is leading cause to America's air pollution problem. The most serious problems to damage the air quality is cars release toxic exhaust.

The mainly refers to the automobile exhaust from emissions. In the automobile exhaust contain about 150-200 different harmful compounds, one of the biggest person harm is carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitric oxide, lead compounds and particles. The harmful gas diffusion to air will cause air pollution. Carbon dioxide and Carbon monoxide are released from the tailpipe of a car and can do much cause greenhouse effect. The consequences of the greenhouse effect is very serious. First ,the natural ecological will be changed. The pest on earth will increased, and desertification and drought, area increases in soil erosion, forest, the drought and flood disasters to retreat. it will brought more disaster.

Cars exhaust also damage to the human respiratory system ,it causing exposure population chronic bronchitis, bronchitis and breathing difficulties, the incidence of lung function decline and so on a series of symptoms. Exhaust containing strong carcinogen, material to cause lung cancer, thyroid carcinoma, etc. It is also effect the plants.

Summary and Evaluation of Sources

Cars damage our environment by the emissions released from the combustion system of an automobile. Certain emissions effect out environment and do damage to the greenhouse effect. Hurting our environment by adding to the greenhouse effect, damaging air quality, and decreasing the ozone. the growing smog problems, disasters done with landfill and the effects done to our water supply. Which all are connected with the greenhouse effect, ozone depletion, and air quality. Even though today's ozone is stable, ultraviolet rays are under control, and the air we breathe is still healthy. In the near future these luxuries will not be available if we continue to drive cars of today. Effecting the way humans operate their lives on a regular basis.Cars not only affect the environment but also health hazard.

These information is very detailed introduces the automobile exhaust environment and human, i think these are very useful source for me to continue.
